are there any weapons in the game who are especially good for the paladin?

I assume that you are playing a party. If so, you can either go for Bastard Swords or Two-Handed Swords because there are Paladin-only weapons that fall into these two categories. These weapons are extremely potent and lovely.

Dualwielding is better if your Paladin is not the main tank, otherwise consider the Sword and Shield Style.

I suggest Two-Handed Weapon Style or Two Weapon Style. As Dundee said, there are Paladin-only items that fits well into these categories.
As for items, (Spoilerish)

I suggest the Two-Handed Sword Carsomyr, though this you must get in SoA. If you decide to be proficient in Dual-Wielding, look out for the Purifier and the Angurvadal. They make a good combo.

Definitely agree. If your gonna dual wield w/ bastard swords then take points in flail, and hammer too. There's a flail that's very handy when hitting tough bosses and such, and a hammer which will turn you into whirlwind of destruction. So in conclusion [spoiler]

If you're taking 2-handed wpn, bring along Gram the Sword of Grief, Psion's Blade and Avenger
If you're taking 2-wpn, bring along Purifier, Foebane, Flail of Ages, Crom Faeyr
