I am kind of new to the board. And not to sure if this poll has been beat to death. I would like to know what kind of music people like to listen to. And may be say what your top five bands of all times are. I think people go through different stages of what we are listening too. OK I will go first.

Music that I am into at the moment.
1. On a "Tool" kick since the new CD came out.
2. Since I am from Canada I have to say "The tragically hip" is usally in my CD player.
3. "Deftones" would be in there.
4. One more that would be in there would be "A Perfect Circle."

Me I like more of the heavier stuff at the moment ie. Korn,Metallica,

Top Bands of all time. -The Tragically Hip.
-Tool
-Pearl Jam?
-Red Hot Chilly Peppers

Ok there is a few. Anyone else

Mostly Alternative or "New Rock" whatever they are calling it these days.
I also listen to classical.
Basically I like anything but country and Yo-Yo Ma.

And yes, this has been done...it is here...somewhere! Must be in GD...I could bring up nothing related with the search option in this forum.

I am a total Queensryche fan!!

Love the Q2K CD... Love Beethoven and Mozart too... but I like music done exceptionally well... and Geoff Tate has the best voice.

Other than that... Rush, Days of the New and old Kansas... weird, huh?

I like down tempo techno and trance and stuff from Ninja Tune.
Also into all the classic rock stuff. Love the Beatles!
Like some rap and anything groovy. Anything goes with me, it just
depends on my mood.

Ditto. I am also on a Creed and Matchbox20 kick lately. Enjoy Dido, Loreena McKennit, Sarah McLaughlin and Baroque music as well.

Heck, I like most music as long as it's not country or death metal screamers.

Copied from another board, the Elysium (lazy bastard that I am

Hmmm, I think it would be an enormous list if I post all the music I'm listening to, I could name hundreds... Well, let's just stick to the best ones :
Motorpsycho; Pavement; Stephen Malkmus (of course ); Tool; Red Hot Chilli Peppers; Seafood; Bran Van 3000; Black Eyed Peas; Pinback; Bauer; 28 Days; Muse; Manic Street Preachers; 28 Days; Beth Orton; Fiona Apple; Caesar; Autopulver; Soulwax; dEUS; Zita Swoon; Placebo; The Jealous Sound; Idlewild; Smashing Pumpkins; Deftones; Radiohead; Super Furry Animals; My Morning Jacket; Grandaddy; Urban Dance Squad; 4 Hero; A Perfect Circle; An Pierlé; Badly Drawn Boy; Roni Size / Reprazent; eels; Faithless; Handsome 3some; Hooverphonic; Lamb; Millencolin; Nilsson; Gorki; De Mens; Monza / Noordkaap; The Animalhouse; The Get Up Kids; The Sheila Divine; Metal Molly; Blur; Björk; R.E.M.; The Source; Mogwai; Daft Punk; Aphex Twin, Divine Comedy, Einstürzende Neubauten, Sunny Day Real Estate, Stereo MC's, Depeche Mode, Johan... Oops, it's beginning to become a large list after all, hey? And I haven't even finished yet .
Well, not all the bands named are completely unknown to some of you, and I think they will agree with me that I've got a strange, schizophrenic taste.
