Essentially they're suing the prisons for forcing them through detox.

They are also claiming breaches of articles three and 14 of the Human Rights Convention, which ban discrimination, torture or inhuman/degrading treatment or punishment, as well as article eight, enshrining the right to respect for private life.
I'm sorry, but I don't see how not providing illegal substances to addicts can be considered cruel and unusual punishment, nor do they (or at least should they) have a right to controlled substances while in government custody (checking in to rehab clinics notwithstanding). Their interpretation of article 8 is obviously at odds with the right and responsibility of the government to protect it's citizens from dangerous substances (or else why would they be illegal at all).
