How America Works

Let's see if I understand how America works lately...

If a woman burns her thighs on a hot coffee she was holding in her lap while driving, she blames the restaurant.

If your teenage son kills himself, you blame rock and roll music or the musician he liked.

If you smoke three packs of cigarettes a day for forty years and you die of lung cancer, your family blames the tobacco companies.

If your teenage daughter gets pregnant by the football captain, you blame the school for poor sex education.

If your neighbour crashes his car into a tree while driving home drunk, you blame the bartender.

If your cousin gets AIDS because the needle he used to shoot up heroin was dirty, you blame the government for not providing clean needles.

If your grandchildren are brats without manners, you blame television.

If your friend is shot by a deranged madman, you blame the gun manufacturer.

And if a crazed person breaks into the cockpit and tries to kill the pilot at 35,000 feet, and the passengers kill him instead, the mother of the deceased blames the airline.

I must have lived too long to understand the world anymore, so if I die while I am parked in front of this computer, I want you to blame Bill Gates. Ok?

If your teenager kills himself after he wrecks a stolen car, while evading the police, after consuming illegal subatnaces, with the handgun he stole, you blame the game creator.

Sir Degrader, you have spoken only too truly. It is our country and we should fix it. The problem being that all the above examples are actions done by people with no sense. No matter where in the world one lives, I think it's pretty safe to say that trying to talk sense into the sensles, taking the entire history of the human race into account, has worked exactly zero times.

Exactly, Winter Wolf, and the incidents of people blaming everyone but the person responsible is not an American exclusive. There are reports of the gaming industry being responsible for children's deaths coming from all over the world. I believe the correct thing is, it's our culture, as varied as it is, and we need to shoot the stupid people, so things like above will quit happening.

No. Killing stupid people never works. What needs to be done is to invent a goverment that is immune to stupid people.

Stupidity isn't going anywhere. It needs to be limited. Anarchy, perhaps, or democracy in very small independent city-states. The less organization there is, the less likely it is that a human stupidity starts a war or something.
