Maybe it's just because of my roots, but when I finally looked at the inside of my PSU today (the one that I had blown), I discovered that the only part of it that appeared damaged was a small capacitor...
Being that none of the thing seemed terribly complicated, I couldn't help thinking that I could have gone to some electronics store, bought a capacitor, and soldered it in myself, and been good to go for another while... Of course, I didn't, and bought another PSU with a 1 year warrantee, but when I can fix stuff, I'd rather fix stuff. Anybody else like that? Or think I'm crazy for wanting to solder a piece back into my old PSU?

I actually tried that with one that I had blown, and it didn't work. I also tried replacing this little fuse. Sometimes, done is done, and it's better to move on, but I'm all for saving a buck if I can.

Well give it a try and then sell it. I am all for trying to fix things.
