Family members having durable power of attorney, may make medical decisions for brain-dead relatives who remain technically alive. Thus, the family decided to donate the facial tissue.

For those of you who watch Nip/Tuck, the show 2 weeks ago featured a facial transplant. [img]graemlins/thumbsup.gif[/img]

Problem with the whole thing: face transplant material must come from a breathing, living person. In this case it came from a brain dead woman who was still alive. So, if you need a face transplant, you'll need to find someone who is willing to cut the face off a brain dead relative. Morality issue? Nah, course not.
