Which is your favourite American sitcom? And don’t forget to tell us why and why not. Feel free to choose one that is not on the list

I still like Home Improvement, even it's old and it's the 3rd or 4th repetition in Germany. Don't know why, but from the time I saw the first episode I liked Tim, who thinks, he knows everything about tools but very often failed ( of course with bad luck ). And I love the dialogues within his family. I never saw the original but I think, the translation into german is very good.
But I too like King of Queens ( that what they call it in our TV ). It's that IPS-Driver in Queens. I like the different characters Doug, Carrie and Arthur. Some of that episodes made me laugh loudly, especially that episode when Doug made nonsens at work and shot himself in his balls with a staple. ( Shame on me ![]() Greetings and a happy new year |

I too love Home Improvement; I find it very humorous, even though it is alittle repetitious.
I also love Friends, which I made sure a watched every time it was. Alas I was disappointed when it finished, but better to go out gracefully then burn out. --Kestrel--

Well I have to say Seinfield. There is just way to many good shows for it not to be a top for me.
Friends was another good show as well.

Jerry Seinfeld and Adam Sandler are my favorite comedians, so I picked the one who had his own sitcom. Seinfeld is great

Seinfeld... The characters have conversations that sounds like conversations I have with my friends. The conversations that don't are delightfully random.
"The speed-dial is a relationship barometer." "It's pronounced 'thermometer.'" And of course there's the running jokes. ::glances at watch:: Alright, time to run. Who wants to come see Rochelle, Rochelle with me?

Seinfeld... If not for the sheer genius of each shows plot, the hilarious characters, sidesplitting conversations... then for the quote in my sig...
Friends... Don't watch it much these days, but until the 6th season it was very funny.. |
