Ring of Shadows (ES3)

This has to be the coolest item in the game.

I am at the point were I am starting to fulfill the seven prophecies. I have done the first two so I am basically just starting them. And I have only just recently discovered the rings usefulness by rescuing a certain cleric from that great prison in the sky.

So I got to pondering if I can sneak past a pile of guards with it I wonder how it performs in combat especially against some of the tougher ones in dungeons in caves that I have been having some problems with. So I try it and start beating this guard with my Sixth House Bell ringer or whatever that weapon is. The poor guy who apparently massacred all the women in this dungeon can't see me so he starts running, and screaming and I am chasing him around beating him into submission. It was actually quite funny. I then used the same tactic on two of his buddies on the upper floor and again it worked except they were a little harder to catch as they sometimes criss-crossed each other.

So what other uses does this ring have?

Ring of Shadows, is that the ring that gives you a Chameleon effect for 60 seconds?

If that's the one, it sure makes stealing a whole lot easier.

Ehm, there are some mistakes here...

First, the ring of shadows is a ring that gives 20% to 30% chameleon for only 30 seconds... It's way overpriced, especially compared to..

The amulet of shadows. Chameleon 80% for 60 seconds... Now even nót sneaking makes enemies run away in fear!

Yah! It is the amulet of shadows my mistake. I just relized it after playing last night. Lots of items and rings to keep track of. [img]graemlins/blush.gif[/img]

Ahh yes, that thing is nice. There was once I talk to someone while still in chameleon mode and the person said " what? whose there? "

There's nothing like seeing an Orc in full Orc armour run away in fear.

Bah, I prefer my home-made ring that makes me chameleon 100% for (I think) 17 seconds. This gives me more than enough time to go steal or kill whatever I need.
