Im sitting here wondering what I will play after finishing BGII. At the moment I can only afford buying one game. So any recommendations? I only played Shadows of Amn in the Baldurs gate serie, should I play BGI? or Neverwinter, or?

What about Throne of Bhaal? The expansion for SoA.

Yeah throne of bhaal is an excellent expansion. I've also heard Neverwinter Nights is good as well so it's a tough decision. If you like BGII then I'd go with TOB though.

Well check mark TOB for me as well. If you have not played it then it is a must. YOU have come all this way you really should finish the game off.

AS for IWD or NWN. I have tried to play IWD it is kind of a mindless hack and slash game not really what I expexted from playing the BG series. I wish I would have played IWD first then went to BG series. So my vote would be for NWN. Seems like lots of hype I hope it meets up to this.

If you like SOA then I would suggest getting BG1 alot of the easter eggs in BG2 will become apparent then, it will also allow you to see where it all started.

NWN I won't comment on because I haven't played it.

IWD if by anychance you are big time Salvatore Fan like me then IWD may be a better choice than BG1, its only loosly connected to his books but the connection is there. One major difference in IWD is that you don't get any NPC's to join you, you instead create your entire party from scratch.

As for TOB it's GOOOOOOOOOD, the musics great, the stories great, and the epic battles are great, trouble is its short, so don't expect it to last.

If you want somthing thats going to last then get BG1 (5 disks)
IWD is 2 disks
and TOB 1

It only took me 30 minutes on a broadband connection, I had it downloading as fast as 85 kb/s at some points
