who is ****** gath or sumthing like that he pops up when i try to loot renal's not quite cold dead corpse and that guy attacked me and killed everyone in one go like what the hell!!!!

From what i know he's supposed to pop up when you do a huge blunder in the game making it impossible for you to advance any further and finish the game, if you went with the shadow thieves and you kill any of their guild members the whole guild turns against you, then you cant join the vamps either, so basically you're screwed unless you load and forget about killing shadow thieves. And Mr. Gath can kill anyone with a single hit, i think he is a thief by class and has imoen's belt meaning he cant be killed.

Yes he has a item equiped that means his hp can't drop below 1. His sword also never misses and deals instant death. However I have heard of a way to kill him a ninth level spell(TOB) enables a mage to shapechange into a mindflayer, do this and suck his brains out it's the only way to kill him.

i would use my "ctrl y" spell of instant death with 100% chance hit

Sorry, not even Ctrl-Y works. Sorry 'bout your luck. Draining his INT works, and I think Level Draining him might work too.
