2nd Annual 2004 Predictions - Post your 1 serious prediction here!

I will record as many predictions from as many members as I can, but remember, 1 post/prediction per Member. Afterwards, I will print these out, and put them in a safe place until Dec 29th 2004 and see which ones will be right or wrong . This is the 2nd Annual Ironworks Prediction Thread!

Prediction: I beleve in 2004, Bush will win re-election against Dean, and the percentages will be: 54% bush, and 46% Dean.

Robert Blake will be found innocent for lack of substantial evidence, i.e., reasonable doubt. He will walk free and clear. And if no other person is apprehended for the murder of his wife, then he will end up regarded as a kind of mini OJ, albeit it with much less press or attention.

Scott Peterson will fry, guilty as charged, death penalty, for the opposite reason re amount of evidence. Reasonable Guilt.

(sorry the above are court cases that are in America, so may not be known to many here on this forum). CourtTV.com can provide info on both cases though.

That's about the best I could do re predictions that I can think of.

And on the serious note, I predict that the 2004 US Presidential elections will feature GW Bush against Howard Dean, wherein Bush wins because while Dean got the support on the internet, he didn't get the voters to actually vote. Hillary was going to run, but realized that four years wasn't enough to distance herself from Bill...

I predict that many more lives are lost in Iraq before peace happens. Osama Bin Laden will be killed during an attempted capture and that all countries will now comply with whatever America suggests (or demands) for fear of attack.

I note that my predictions for 2003 have not come true.... YET.

For 2004, I predict that the (notably mostly conservative) Supreme Court will strike down large portions of the Patriot Act -- the ones happening sooner will be those denying Guantanamo prisoners access to legal counsel and tribunals (of some sort) to face the evidence against them.

For 2004, I predict that "President" Bush will get elected, and then watch his approval ratings bomb as he doesn't tend enough to issues at home (inc the economy).
