help!!

i cant save or rest????????

whenever i go to an inn it syas cant rest now.
whenever i try to save it says cant save now.
wat the f*** is wrong????
ive been playing all day and still it wont let wat should i do???

What the?? Is the fight music playing? Sometimes my game won't let me do things (like change my armor) because it thinks there are enemies present, even when my party is safe in a tavern or something. That's funky....

Nice quote heh heh from LOTR heh i dunno a solution 2 this xsept by reloading the game i sometimes have this problem 2 it happend 2 me bout only 3 times 2 me i suggest u reload the game OR if u haven't saved like all day go 2 a party required area. (It usually auto saves if ur going 2 a diff city or district or somethin) Then load the auto save then Vola it should work but i think i m 2 late.........

I think it happens only if the game thinks you're in a fight.
I had this a couple of times when I attacked something and ran away (leave the area) to return later. The only thing that helps is reloading

You shouldn't happen to have rescued Lady Delcia from her bedroom in D'Arnise Keep?

In this case it might be this bug: BGII thinks that you are still in coversation with Delcia's personal guard (she interrupts the coversation).

A way to undo the damage is to enter the outside area and reload the autosave.

Awwwww, I know exacly what you've up to, happened to me just yesterday! Annoying as hell, I can tell ya.

Anyhow, here's the solution: Walk between an area so that your computer quick-saves. Load the Quick-Save and then, hopefully you'll be able to save. Atleast I was able to both save and rest after doing this.

1. This can happen not only if you are in the middle of a fight (according to the game) but also if the game is doing some long action. Example: If you put the sewer golem in the Irenicus' Dungeon into work then you cannot save/rest until the golem returns. Oh, well...
2. The lady in the de'Arnise Keep. It's a bug in the game. The bug consists in the following: The lady interrupded the guard's dialog and then both of them vanished - with an unfinished dialog (the guard's one). Now, the guard is still "speaking" and preventing you from saving/resting. If it happens to you then leave the keep through the secret door you have come in and go to a small camp nearby. The lady is there with her guard. Talk with the the guard. You need not tell him anything special - just start the dialog and quit it. Now, you'll be able to rest.
You can also reach the camp through the main gate if you have already opened it.

As far as your problem is concerned, the game seems to forget to clear some flag in its data. I can suggest only one thing: Change the map. Travel out of Waukeen's Promenade and try rest on another map. If it is a "hidden" enemy that follows you and prevents you from saving/resting, then the enemy should be removed from the game or teleported after you to a new map. In the first case, your problems are over. In the second case, you will see the enemy and be able to get rid of the problems. Perhaps...
