Yes he probably would. Now could we please stop all these good night threads? If you want to say good night do so in the cafe. It's is somewhat annoying with three good night threads on the board.

I'm sending some subtle hints Vaskez. I find it very annoying but I can't speak for everyone can I? OK so I wasn't being very subtle but the winking makes it appear so.

BTW Vaskez, you forgot to point out the use of "its" in the title.

T he winking is wh at you do when trying to sound polite when you're actualy annoyed

Honestly, I don't see why it's so difficult to use a single good night/good morning thread to say your good nights and good mornings. Those threads are social things, these are bits of rather pointless spam. There's a row of yellow numbers somewhere on the page as well, just click the '2' if you can't find yesterday's thread on the first page, or the '3' if it's not on the second. If you still can't find it, it's either an old thread now, or deleted for being the aforementioned pointles spam.

Cristian, if you want Choc to tear you apart or if you are trying to get a special avatar, why not just say so? And if you're trying to get johnny to give you a beer... well, just take one. He'll never know it's gone anyway.

I remember how in the old days you could always blame everything on either Flower Uza or Rikard. Alas, those days are gone...

Actually, I believe we had a period like this on Ironworks before... Moderator intervention was needed back then to keep people from continuously starting topics about the most trivial of actions like going to bed or to the loo or whatever, and they ended up getting closed en masse. Shouldn't take too long for enough people to complain about them and trigger a repeat of that scenario, I suppose.

Personally I don't know why there's need for goodnight/morning threads at all. Unless you're actually involved in some chatty thread where you're having an msn-style conversation, or a serious discussion thread where you and others have posted back and forth for an hour or so, in which case you would say your goodnights in that thread, I don't care if anyone is going to bed at any specific point. I imagine people do go to bed, and can even if I was really concerned probably work out from their location about when they may sleep relative to when I might be on. But I'm not interested about knowing someone won't be posting on the forum for 12 hours or so.

Actually I think a long-running good night thread is even more meaningless than people posting their own since you'd have to actually go into the thread when you see a new post on it to check whether it's someone posting a good night or just someone else spamming saying goodnight to them. LOL I remember good night threads, people would post and four hours later someone would reply, 'good night dude!'

Good morning threads are even worse! We can see who's online by them posting nonspam in nonspam threads, not to mention the who's online (except people like me who hide )! No announcements necessary!

Perhaps I'm just an old crank though
Well I remember a few years back I used to make Goodnight threads , but I did not make one daily, used the same thread each night. But of course we all did that because it was back on the Blueboard, where there was no "Who's Online" feature, and we were a smaller closer community, and it was more of a polite gesture to say "I have to go" so people would not expect further posts from you in conversations in other threads. And again, we kept it to one thread.

Things are different now. I mean we have a "Who's Online" feature now, we know when a person goes because he is not on the Who's Online list anymore. We also now have MSN Messenger, PMs, etc. for those types of things, wherein we can tell our online hours to those who are actually wanting to know that type of thing. So I see no need for these types of threads myself, but at least if it HAS to be done, keep it to one thread, don't litter!
