I have it installed, and have started a new game.
I havent really noticed much difference, except some new priest spells, and that NPC's can have convo's in dialouge boxes and fight each other. EG, Xar(sp) started on Jaheria, so Jaheria and Khalid turned blue and started fighting Xar. Nice touch! Could someone disclose the location of a NEW NPC in Chapter 1? ------------------ ![]() |

Major differences are after you've done Chapter 4 - otherwise you'll just foind enemy adventurers are tooled up with better magical weapons (oh yes, and there's some Wood Elves in SW area)

. . . . . . . . . There are 2 npcs that can be found at the Nashkell Carnival, and Bub can be found in one of the wilderness areas near Nashkell. Others appear after you flood the Cloakwood mines, and go to the FAI |

Is it certain that that fight between Xzar and Jaheira/Khalid is related to DSotSC ? In my game after I had installed DSotSC I had this confrontation - but through chapter 5 I didn't notice a single difference (npcs, items, quests) to a regular BG I game, so I decided that DSotSC, at least my installation of it, was not working properly and gave up on that game ...

Did you notice changes in the Kobolds in the Nashkel mines? If DSOTSC was installed then they would have attacked in larger numbers than before, and with "Nome Stikkas" for weapons.
PS, the fight isnt DSOTSC related, i had it in my first game, before i even had TOSC installed ![]() ------------------ ![]() |

Hm, "Nome Stikkas" ? No never heard about them, I am afraid. Sigh ! Well, I guess I deserve it: I installed DSotSC over a reinstallation of BGI without TOSTC and when I realized my mistake I had already started a new game and was just too lazy to start all over again and just reinstalled TOSTC instead of installing it all again in the right order - eg BGI, TOSTC, DSotSC. That seemed to work - at first ...

'nome stikkas' are magic daggers used by kobold guards, +1 IIRC. There are lots of kobold commandos, kobold guards, kobold shamen (spell casters and very annoying (they usually start with 'panic')), and even kobold chieftains in the Nashkel mines, doing them somewhat tougher.
If you notice, though you and Imoen starts at level 1, Khalid and Jaheira starts at higher levels (pretty logical since they are long-time friends of Gorion). |
