Alibakkar's or Larraxol's? Spoiler wanted!

I haven't played Baldur's Gate II in a few months and recently started a new game. I just became the hero of Trademeet but don't know which family to side with.

Either one; it really doesn't matter. If you play "good", anyway, you'll end up working for neither one in the end.

Unless you want blood spilled, just give the relic to the mayor.

Giving the mayor the relic is the Option for good aligned characters.

If you are evil (like me) then give the mantle to either one, not the mayor though, and (spoiler)

The other family mamber will appear. (If you help Loraxxol, Alibakaar will appear, vice versa) They are actually both in the same family, they share an ancestor which founded Trademeet. When the other appears, he or she will say she wants the mantle, and the other will too, so they will both go hostile, hoping to wrench the mantle from your dead body.

Note: Alibakaar has Elven Chain Mail.
