This may be a stupid question, but I have been unwilling to test it myself because there is no real way of knowing until it's too late. If party member with romance script dies and is resurrected does the romance continue on, is it set back a little, or does it stop? The jaheira script is buggy enough with out doing something else to it.

Without knowing for sure I would say that the romance does NOT end. I think the romance ends if the character leaves the party for any reason(ie. their portrait is gone from the right side of the screen), either by you kicking them out, or by imprisonment.
Maybe someone knows for sure out there?

Wish I could tell for sure, but unfortunately I can't. I am inclined to follow witchhunter's reasoning though. It seems logical.

I have just finished the game with Aerie, who died twice, and it did not (so far as I can tell) affect the romance in any way.

I romanced Jaheira and when I went after Kangaxx she got imprisoned. I cast freedom immediately, however when she came back it was a case of how could you, and the romance was over. I had to load a saved game to keep the romance going.
