Cussing -- using the 'F' word.

We have never censored bad language before, but I have noticed a LOT of the 'F' Word showing up lately, and by Members that should know better too!

From this day forward, I will delete any post that has the F word and give you 1 warning. Then your account will be suspended for 30 days.

If I knew we we're all over 15, I wouldn't care as much, but we have kids visiting this Forum folks, and it also looks very lowbrow to new users seeing the use of the 'F' word. This is why people COME here--to ESCAPE ( [img]smile.gif[/img] ) all that crap.

Just thought I needed to remind some of ya! [img]smile.gif[/img]

Ziroc, I'm not trying to be a disturbance to you, but I was just wondering how you feel about self-censoring. For example, instead of using swear words, people often use *&#% etc. Is this considered the same thing.

I just thought you might want to clarify before someone argues about it.

Just to clarify, does that involve ONLY using the full word, or does it extend to slightly censored variations ??

EDIT: New posts showing up when you`re typing about the same thing you`re typing about... if only we could read minds and avoid that happening

You can do the ^*@&*@& but NOT "F****!!!!" There is NO need to. You know, it takes MORE keys to spell out that, then saying "Darn" or 'Crap'...

ALL the other cuss words are not AS bad, but if I see them in every other post of a Members, I will give them 1 warning then suspend them.

Cussing is not needed.

Come on it's the same, Ziroc said no swearwords and I think he means that... if you want to test it, look for George Carlin's "Seven words you can't say on television and post it here...

Anyway [edit],I think people should be able to express them selves without the use of profanity, even if I think they are completly harmless.

I don't think I've ever used the F-word in the 2 years I've been posting on message boards, so I suppose I'm on the safe side anyways.

I too can gladly say I havent swore on here, before, except once (which makes my previous statment wrong!

) but that was cause a friend really annoyed me, so apart from that once, ive been cuss free!

You mean there are people using bad words in here? Maybe it´s my innocent mind blocking them out

cause I´ve never seen them (@&*^@ is an exception). I like this policy, it´s the same in my house. The only word allowed in there is "dang". And when the hubby feels like shouting about his computer he can do it elsewhere lol. [img]graemlins/thumbsup.gif[/img] Ziroc! [img]smile.gif[/img]
