Some of you may have seen this before. But anyway here it is again.
I thik i know how it is done. The first picture is the original, In the second You can see where i have pointed out that the space left in some of the squares that are meant to be the same have less space in them now... But im not sure if that is why...Pease answer, Ive had this for years but could never be quite sure.  ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Here i have pointed out the differences. Look at the points (4,2) and (8,3) (with the point of the triangle-like-shape as (0,0)) in both diagrams. Also Luvian posted this puzzle a while back and it was quite throughly answered in that thread.

Yes, it is not a true triangle, the angle of slope of the hypotenuse is different in the red and green triangles, hence the difference in area when the pieces are rearranged.

well the bottom one takes up an extra block horizontally leaving room for an empty square
