Typing a message in some word processing program and then "cutting and pasting" into a post isn't that big a deal, but wouldn't it be nice if you could just spell check within the post itself?

I found this Forum Spell Check shareware over the weekend, and seems to work well. You have to have MS Word and IE 5.0 or greater to use it.

The site also contains several useful programs including SpyBot, which is a nice counter-part to Ad-Aware.

Be careful with SpyBot though! In addition to identifying Spyware, it also ID's other possible problems on your computer, and removing some of them can cause problems if you don't know what your removing. A good rule of thumb with SpyBot is to ignore the things it IDs, other than spyware which show up as RED, unless you absolutely know what your doing. Informational storage data shows up as BLUE. The stuff in BLACK shouldn't be mucked with.

I'd love it, but I don't have MS Word. Some times I can't spell worth a hoot!

UBB DID have Spellchecking waaay back, but dropped it . I too usually type it out in Outlook or Word then cut 'n paste it.. pain, but worth it.

I'll keep an eye out for a Mod that will add Spellchecking or a free service for forums..

I think people should just learn to spell/type properly.

It would be nice if it could include the grammar checker, too, but we'll have to settle for "baby steps" right now...lol.

Yepp that´s what happens when you drink that unknown "sauce"! I wouldn´t want a spell checker. Can you imagine how much time it would take for me to post if there was one?
