What are chickens for? CLUAConsole:CreateItem("misc7b") creates one in your inventory, and you use it on your quick items bar. But what are they for? Food?

I might be wrong but there is a quest involving chickens in the Umar Hills.
It could be that particular chicken!

The chicken does'nt happen to be called melicamp does it?
If so it has nothing to do with SOA it is a BG1 item. Melicamp is a wizard who turned himself into a chicken, you have to take him to a mage named thalantyr to help him.

I've often wondered why they put all the BG1 items in BG2 even though you can't get them in the game, well not without cheating anyway.

It may be a holdover from Baldurs Gate I, when there was a mage who accidently got himself stuck in chicken form, and you had to help him.
What does the chickens description say?

I dunno Daniel. I think that to establish the system of creating items, the black isle dudes just used the BG1 item system instead of creating a whole new one, so they just had to establish the new items for BG2 into that system.

the chicken just says "chicken". I don't think it's a mage, it has no description (as I remember)
