On Thursday, I will see if I am accepted in a secondary job, aside from my primary one. I have applied to KayBee Toys, in the Hanes Mall during the mad rush of the Christmas Season, so that I can have enough to give my family a good Christmas and continue paying debts and bills. I will leave my first job at 5pm and arrive at the mall by 5:30pm, and work until closing. Saturdays may be all day, and the holiday season also calls for wierd shop hours like opening at 5am and closing at 10-11pm.

Everybody wish me luck! I am certainly going to need it.

Good luck, Larry. It sucks that you need to take out two jobs though.

Trust me, it's hard enough to get one.

Larry I admire your spirit and all, but you know...while you are working that second job to buy a few doodads for the kids and missus..they will be sacrificing time spent with their Husband and father. You may want to think about the old addage "When entering the pearly gates no one ever says "Gee I wish I had spent more time at the office".

I would also like to remind you to cherish every moment you can take with your family as if it were the last, for it is possible that it is. I know I never expected to get divorced and yet I was so focused on gaining another buck, for basicly the same reasons you mentioned, I missed what was really importnat.....Just my 2 cents my friend. Take care.

Larry, I know how you feel. I too am getting a second job. I go for my interview on Thurseday and my b-day is on Friday. What a birthday present. Azred is taking me to the movies to see White Oleander, hopefully. I am probably going to go to work at Lane Bryant in the mall here, I already work at target at night. I really don't know about two retail gigs. But retail is the only thing I have been doing for the past two years or so. I applied at some other places, I don't really care about what I get, just that I get something that will bring in another paycheck. I can only dream that one day me and Azred will be rich and live the rest of our life out at our beach house drinking and swimming all day, partying at night, lol. So good luck, I will be thinking of you and wishing you the strenght to stay awake the same as me.

I was thinking about getting one during the weekends. I was told I could make double the amount I make on my 2-hour 5-days-a-week plan. It's up there on my list with getting a CC. I don't really need the money now, but if I plan to buy that 2001 Sunfire, I'm gonna need another 6K. Good luck, Lar, I hope you and your family get what they want out of this deal (maybe it'll be an extended break, who knows)

Well I give you credit to have the strenght to get the second job. From what I have read about you. You seem to be a very busy man with your family. But you have to do what you have to do. I am sure you have thought all your options through and decided to take the second job. So I wish you good luck.

And be nice to those kids at the toy store.

Hehe..my boss here at my primary job told me, "Now Larry...at Kaybee Toys, you'll have to sell toys...not just play with them!. He's right...He's smarter than I thought!

The interview went very well...and I think my newest boss is pleased with having me. I don't think that it will be so bad for the next three months. I can also quit if I deem it too hectic, without it really hurting me.

I might have been a little misleading about the reason I needed this job, however. It is almost requisit that I get more money from somewhere...because I have been paying out an extra $70/week in gas for Karen to go to UNCG...and I am really hurting without that extra $70. I need more income to make up for that loss. When she graduates in the Spring...we will be alright.

I also was able to get a new Streamline Mortgage on the home, although we had just done one in February. I dropped my rate from 7.5% to 6.5%...which is coming out to be $31 cheaper/month on Mortgage.

Well, good luck, Larry. I hope that it doesn't take too much out of you, but, you are young. Hope you will still be able to post now and again.
