Series of Questions - Please help!

Okay, so I've got a small bunch of questions that completely elludes me...

1. Why do Yoshimo suddenly die when I walk in to the Copper Coronet after I've left him there? I left him in chapter 1 or 2, and when I'm back at Athkatla in chapter 6, and enter the tavern, he just die - no enemies attacked or anything!

2. When do I know that a romance is dead? I've had a nice and romantic romance with Jaheira (and Aerie and Viconia at the same time) up to this point, without intimate affection that is, just love talkt. But now, Jaheira hasn't spoken for ages, two whole chapters or so. What to do?

3. What should I say to Viconia to make her respond nicely? Up to this point, every nice thing I say to her is answered with a "keep your filthy eyes to your self, lowly male".

4. Is there going to be a BG3? and in that case, when?

Okay, I guess that is it. Please, help me out.

Ps: I'd rather play as a female instead of a male (since I'm a female myself), but I've heard that you cannot have any romances at all if you're a female. Is that true?

* Can I develope a romance further in ToB or must I finish the whole thing in SoA?

Hi Kiyatha, and welcome to ironworks. Unfortunately I can't help you with everything but I can with some:here goes

It's part of the story that Yoshimo betrays you to Irenicus and you then kill him. A geas was placed on him by irenicus that if he doesn't lead you to him he dies so that's why he dies.
2)Don't know
3) I haven't done the Viconnia romance yet but I have heard that she responds to most answers with this kind of response so don't worry if she responds like this it will be ok in the end.
4)At the minute it appears not.
5)If your female you can only have a romance with Anomen.
6)A romance can continue in TOB but only if you finish it in SOA.

Im not to sure but i think yoshimo dying is something to do with the story, when i first played the game (not finishing it) i got to 5th chapter with yoshimo in my party and he died in the asylum for no apparent reason as well. so im not sure (i havent answered your question at all, just added to it errm sorry)

Yoshimo dies in the asylum becuase u kill him [img]tongue.gif[/img] he ends up working for Irenicus, and then he leaves your party and you are forced to kill him. While on the boat to Brynlaw, he puts something in your food so when Irenicus casts a certain spell only the people with stuff he put in your food in them will pass out, then yoshimo leaves your party. (does that make any sense? seems confusing lol )

After the fight with Irenicus in spellhold he summons some invisible assassins. I read somewhere that if you didn't kill him before going to spellhold one of these should be Yoshimo.

First off, Zarr, can you please edit your post? I am on a 1024x786 resolution and the screen still warps into a horizontal scroll, so I can only imagine what it is like for those with lower resolutions.

Secondly, it is Saemon that poisons your meals on the ship before you reach the island where Spellhold is located. No framing Yoshimo! [img]tongue.gif[/img]

On with the answering... ...

Jon Irenicus forcibly placed a Geas on Yoshimo. His mission was to escort you to Spellhold. Failure to do so means instant death, which is why he died in the Copper Coronet in Chapter 6. He failed to accompany you. You can choose to bring him along... but he will still die, although at least you get a chance to redeem him( and earn a cool 200,000 Xp).

2. When do I know that a romance is dead? I've had a nice and romantic romance with Jaheira (and Aerie and Viconia at the same time) up to this point, without intimate affection that is, just love talkt. But now, Jaheira hasn't spoken for ages, two whole chapters or so. What to do?

Romances can be triggered by locations. I will need to know what was the last romance segment you had with Jaheira in order to determine where you are at now. Shadowkeeper( a third-party utility program) can be used to check the condition of your romance.

3. What should I say to Viconia to make her respond nicely? Up to this point, every nice thing I say to her is answered with a "keep your filthy eyes to your self, lowly male".

As far as I know, you just need to keep on being nice to Viconia. Do not act too eagerly though, a little shyness can go a long way.

4. Is there going to be a BG3? and in that case, when?

No.

Anomen is the only option for female characters.

6. Can I develope a romance further in ToB or must I finish the whole thing in SoA?

The romance must reach a certain stage before it can continue in ToB.

Sorry about that Dundee it didn't look like that on the previous screen but after I clicked okay it came out like that. Anyway I've edited my post. One thing though when I got to spell hold it was definetly Yoshimo who poisoned my parties food. I think if Yoshimo comes with you it's him that poisons your food and if Yoshimo doesn't come with you it's Saemon Havarian.

No worries, at least you have edited your post now.

I recall Jon Irenicus saying that the Captain poisoned the food. No way to test it out now, since I do not have anybody near that point in the game.

umm

the thing is, i don't remember any posioning of the food, we got to brynnlaw, we got to the astlum, then we got trapped by Irenicus, then i got out, and fougt him, then that thing with the githyanki was the last of sameon

what was this posioning? Did i miss something?
