Well I have got a problem; I have the leadership over both the Thief and the Fighter stronghold. Both are still running through their upkeeps/tasks etc. Now I have come to the point where I have finished each and every possible quest in the game before embarking on the ship that will hopefully take me to Spellhold. I have read that when you forfeit to visit your Strongholds within a given time (10 days?) you will lose them. Is this true? And what can I do to prevent this from happening, seeing that I probably won't return in time from the Underdark? I don't want to go and sleep x times in a row to trigger the events, that would totally screw up the roleplaying.

Hope someone can help me with this!

Cheers,
Iluvatar

Your stronghold will wait for the underdark, but theyll both have quest wanting done and messengers hanging around when you get back. I know this is true for de'arnise keep, and i think it holds for the theif guild.

BTW how did you get two?

Really??? So the Quotamaster in my thief guild won't complain when I come dragging in after 3 weeks of Drow-hunting to pay my quota of last week and the week before that and before that...?? That is a great relief.

About the fact that I have two strongholds -> I don't really know why, myself actually I posted it a few weeks ago but nobody seemed to be able to clarify it. These are the facts: My main character is Hurricane, a halfelven fighter/thief. He secured the thief stronghold early on in the game, because it appealed to him more than the fighter stronghold. A few weeks (gametime) later he eventually cleared the D'Arnise Keep and Nalia came up and offered him the leadership. I was really amazed and a bit worried because I thought I might have screwed up the game. But the two strongholds seem to be working fine together. So I'm not complaining Anyway there may be a thing that has caused this now that I've come to think of it again. When I took the first stronghold I played on a machine that had only SOA (+patch)installed. I then transported my savegames to another machine that had both SOA (+patch) and TOB (+patch) installed and I proceeded to clear the D'Arnise keep after that. That may or may not be the "problem"

the way to get too strongholds is to be multiclassed then most people tell the person who offers their stronhold to them they dont want it right now, then they do their other stronghold, accept the second one, the go back and accept the first one. Its a bug in everyone games, not yours, so dont worry.

I know that, but that is not the way it happened with me, cause I certainly did not reject when I was offered my thiefing stronghold. I, in fact, planned my travels to get that one as soon as possible. So there is a difference as you see.....
