Whore-ish ways to kill iches

I hate the way I just killed the liches. Set snare, watch em blow themselves half dead, use undead scroll, chop away.

I wanted to kill them in an all out magic battle. My party =
Kensai/mage(9/11) ME
minsc
anomen
jaheira
yoshimo (lvl12)
aerie

I used all the magic diminishing spells i had. Breach, thrust, dispel magic, remove magic, miscast magic, lower resistance, Oilglies orb (whatever his name is). Myself I had minor globe invulnerability, haste, strength, phantom blade etc etc. Nothing. The liches laughed in my face. I was an insect to them. This sux, do you really have to be lvl 15 or above for a nice magic battle? I mean, the cowled enforcers. Theyre nice. Little weak, but nice. I want magic battles

retreat and wait until their spell-protection wears out

have a true sight to dispell thier mislead ect.

use missile weapons to kill them - liches are very slow movers.

Thats no what I meant. I dont want to retreat, i dont want to use protection scrolls. It like a barfight, i wanna go one-on-one (well actually six-on-one )with the lich with fists only (okok, magics only), not with a gun or from behind a shield. A GOOD fight, not this cheating, laming way

"Cheating, laming way"? Uh, I think far more lame than to be careful in your adventuring--as if you might actually die--is to run headfirst into battle unprepared knowing you can just reload.

Right, i wanna cast magic resistance lowering spells and then be able to hit him with my phantom blade and stuff. I mean, take the demi-lich Kangaxx: he continuesly casts imprisonment, cant be hit with +3 weapons and lower, magic attacks are useless, regenerates 1 HP/3 seconds and what not. You need Yoshimo laying traps, then discard all you NPC's, use improved haste (for additional attacks per round else you CANT kill him, he regenerates too fast), use scrolls of magic and undead protection. What the f*kc?? Worthless. The demi-lich is the only adversary in the game for which I had to find strategies on the net. Irenicus is a ■■■■■ compared to him

If you have the "True Sight" spell, and a few abjuration spells, you should be able to kill even the Demi-Lich with ease. You have to have +4 weapons or higher to hit him, though, so I usually wait until I've been through the Underdark and get the Wave halberd and Crom Faeyr. If you have a Paladin, Carsomyr usually makes short work of him as well. You just have to have the right equipment.

I've never really had a true mage-fight ....
Casting some area effect-spells such as Abi-Dalzim's , fireballs and skull traps and such, just doenst give me a victorious feeling.

I wanna be like Irenicus, like in the cutscenes, casting like a waterfall and raining down on his enemies.
Unfortunately, if you wanna be effective and effiecient, you dont take down a mage's defence ... You simply cast breach and go meelee or use an area effect spell.

I wanna desintegrate and turn cowles to stone, make burning circles around there feet, cast two desintegrate's at a time and strike them with those nice looking lightning-bolts ( the one irenicus casts)

Irenicus would destroy any High-level party if he had his cutscene-powers ... i really like the cutscene in the Asylum, where he obliterates 3 cowles [img]graemlins/firedevil.gif[/img]

Daan...you can. [img]smile.gif[/img] It's called "Sequencer" and "Spell Trigger". If you don't have ToB installed, Spell Trigger can only be cast from a scroll (quick tray), but Sequencer can be memorized and stored. All spells are fired at one time.
