Hey everyone! Just take a moment or two to post about something good in your life right now that you're grateful for or something good that's happened to someone else or you'd like to wish for them (anyone, doesn't have to be someone we know!). Spread a little cheer and good will!
![]() I'm happy that my husband is enjoying his job and we're starting to get our debts a little more under control. We've got the bulk of our shopping done, our Christmas lights up, our tree is mostly decorated and we've booked a hotel out of town where we're vising with some family and friends for Christmas. All this, way ahead of our usual last minute schedule which makes me feel alot less stressed for this time of year than usual! I wish you all some warm n' fuzzy times with loved ones and friends and lots of good food, good fun and few hangovers for the new year! First and formost. Having a happy and heathly family. And getting the chance to have christmas with my family. Since I am not working.
Also this year we are buying gifts for my wifes little sister she had. She is no longer an immediate little sister. We moved away for a few years. But we did keep in contact with her When we moved away. So know that we are living close to her again. We often take her out for lunch and bowling. So this year we have decided to help the whole family. Towels and food and a few nick nacks. The little sisters mom is on welfare and has a hard time the last few years. I always have a good time buying for my kids. But you get that warm fuzzy feeling when you buy for some one that really needs it. ![]() So that is my good deed for the holidays. And it does feel good.

I am super thankful for my wife and children. They are such a blessing! Both my kids are teens, but you know what? They don't give me an ounce of trouble or concern. Oh, sure, they got their teen moments, but what teen hasn't. As for my wife, well she has to be a saint, she's married to me!
Mack_Attack, you are 100% correct about buying for someone in need. It is a great thing to do. We support our local Rescue Mission which does phenomenol work in Atlantic City, plus a number of other things. I am NOT tooting my own horn here. I just know how important and what a priviledge it is to help others. [ 12-08-2005, 11:11 AM: Message edited by: Albromor ] |

I agree with you both on the buying for others in need issue! My church sponsors families in need and every year we choose an 'ornament' from our tree that has an item that someone in the family needs or wants for Christmas. This year my husband and I bought shoes for two teenage boys with big/wide feet... my hubby felt especially good about that, having grown up with size 13 wide feet, himself.

Wow, that's a nice bike Hive.
There's a guy at my school, an IT techie, who rides a motorbike. I remember someone asked him "Sir can you ride a motorbike" and he give them a half hour talk on how we can instruct and all sorts You could see their faces were just blank, praying for him to shut up. I'm thankful that everyone in my family is well and getting along and happy. *says quietly* I'm also thankful for the Xbox 360 I have waiting for me in my mothers cupboard. I can't wait till Christmas ![]()

My parents bought me a calculator to replace the one somebody stole before my math exam. I don't want anything else. We can afford it, but the fact that they're willing to bail me out means in my mind that I don't really deserve anything else this Christmas.
