I am just hoping its not true. Another case where the source should be considered and he does have a son in Ireland according to the welovetheiraqiinformationminister.com site. I am hoping the man is let to live in peace if he still lives at all.

How many lives did he cost by giving false hopes? How many people died in a effort that had zero chance because of him?

While I do not fear if he lives or wish him to be harrased... I hardly have compassion. Many "bad" people have children

Do you honestly believe that given the reports of other media sources available, or the fact that the coalition was in sight, that he was taken seriously by anyone?

I am sure that more then one general was told more then a pack of lies by him directly. He defended and tried to protect a brutal leader. I could care a less about his pathetic TV acting.

Why the compassion? because he was funny? Sadam had children to

edit - typo's

Not because he was funny...because he was used.

Lil Lil with all due respect...

He could see as you said what was happening. How do you know he was used? I mean ....

You make him sound like a victim. He was lying to rally support in places like Syria, Iran, Jordan. He was trying to rally fresh bodies to die for what he had to know was a useless effort. Why do you think exactly the "arab" world was shocked? Maybe because of him?

To say that he was used just stems from a feeling...I cannot confirm or deny either that he was or wasn't...my feeling is that he was.

Maybe the arab world was shocked because they expected a larger uprising against "the great satan, America" and it didn't happen....Saddam's troops wouldn't fight for him...in countries where his greatness and "the love of his people" was so exploited, it would have come to a shock to me to.

If you ever get a chance to see "Uncle Saddam", take the opportunity.
