Why America attacked Iraq?

I have been wondering since the start of this war why America actually attacked Iraq.
As far as I could see, Iraq hadn't attacked anyone and was no threat to the US or the UK. Bush and Blair have still not come up with a valid reason as far as I can see and not one WOMD has appeared.
Don't tell me it was because it flouted UN resolutions as the UN didn't agree with the attack.
Certain other countries ignore dozens of resolutions, attack their neighbours and get off scot free (ie Israel).

In light of this, I have been surfing the net to find out more about the US and more particulalry it's government.

I found out on one site that Wolfowitz, Pearle, Rumsfeld, Fleischer, Frank, Meyers etc are all Jewish, so could this attack be all about protecting the interests of Israel?. It certainly explains the US rather one sided view on the Middle East.
Before you say I'm wrong answer me this, if all the above were Moslems, do you think Iraq would have been attacked?, I don't think so.

I am posting this to stimulate a good Ironworks debate, not because of any personal belief in any web site I accessed, I don't even know if the statement is true, but it does clarify a few things I thought strange if it is true.

Your thoughts please!.

Wolfowitz, Pearle, Rumsfeld are Jewish? Have not heard of the other names mentioned, they don't ring any bells.

I didn't know that, I do know I don't trust either of them as far as I can throw them as a bundle, and I do know that that are having a great influence on Bush's decisions. Pearle even boldly admits his influence on the new foreign policy.

You know I was honestly going to try answering this. It is a good day and I was going to word it with nice calm verbal roses.

I can only shake my head. I can understand questioning motives and looking deeper. I can understand strategic partners. What I can not is the obvious Jewish conspirecy that --seem's-- to be rampant in Europe. Dangerous

You know Jewish is not a dirty word. People have a right to be Jewish. They have a right to have a job. Why should they be more suspct then a white man or asain? What is this fascination (or hate/fear) of Jewish people?

Well hell Now that, that question has been answered, lets move on. Gee, the USA attacked a peacful benign country because some of the people in its government are jewish...wow, what a revelation.

I have nothing against any particular religion, just religion in general, nothing else has caused so much strife over the last 2000 years.

It does help explain the US obvious bias in favour of Israel though doesn't it?.

Doesn't make them a different race, We have a different cultural identity to England, but we're pretty much the same race.

I'm getting kind of off my own topic here though. As for the rest of Europe?, I can't speak for them, but most folks I know reckon the US is very much biased towards Israel.
