I plan on getting one for chritmas, I have been a good boy!!

But yeah the systyem rocks. Halo looks great, and of course it has NHL Hitz and NHL 2K2, as well as Dead or Alive and Bloodwake.

In one of the recent reviews that I've read about it, that's all they said it was good for. They pretty much smashed it about not being able to run DVD's (Playstation 2) and some other issues. They said the majority of the games being released for it are RPG's. I can't vouch for that, as I enjoy the PS2 and can't afford to have both.

I already have a DVD player and a PS1, but I am thinking about a new game system. Is PS2 that much better of a system, and does it have a good selection of PS2 games?? I don't get out shopping much.

The graphics on the PS2 are way better than the original
playstation. I play alot of sports games on the PS2 and there is
a bunch of good ones out. Grand Theft Auto 3 is an awesome game.
(My son's not allowed to watch me play that one )

But to quit rambling and answer your question. Yes, there is a wide
variety of games for the PS2.

If I ever saw my father playing that game with the crazed maniacal grin that people get when they play it, I'd never step into a car with him again..
I've been thinking about getting a PS2. Its probably got more games and will last longer than the other 2. DVDs is a HUGE plus because I like to watch movies in my room.

Has the price come down any on the PS2? Last I heard it was $300. The system was almost impossible to get last Christmas. Also does anyone know if Off Road or any sequels were made for PS2? I loved this game in the arcade. Also a big Guantlet fan!!!

Yes I plan on buying an x box just not right away.Last x-mas I just had to have a ps2 and paid the going price for one.I would then watch the price drop and drop...ouch.PS2 Dynasty Warriors 2,it got mediocre reviews,I love this game!!Anyway,I think x box will eventualy win the console war.Huge power, lots of software companies signing on, Bill Gates, how do you think he became the richest man in the WORLD.I find it very hard to believe that he will fail in this endeavor. What I really like about x box is the fact that it is alot easier to develop games on.The programming part I mean.I,ve read that it is more pc friendly in a game development sort of way.PC games are still my fav...but with competition it,s you and me who profit.Bring on the bigger, badder, prettier, lose yourself for a while type games.
