IF Bush was reelected(god forbid) and his panel finds out and discloses that he DID lie to the american people and wrongfully got us into this war, could he ,or would the country than demand his impeachment? Since this panel isn't supposed to come up with anything till 2005! well after the election.

Why do you think George Tenet hasn't been fired yet?

The CIA has taken a beating yet he is still in charge. If he was let go before the election doubtless all the details he would spill could cost President Bush his Presidency.

I'd wager after the election, if Bush wins, Tenet will be fired very early on.. but only after the election.

Tenet ought to think about a good witness protection type program. :|

While I am willing to accept President Bush blew some things out of proportion based on his beliefs and how he wanted things to be, I do not accept, nor do I think any evidence will show, that he lied outright. We elect leaders to make decisions based on imperfect information.

If we demanded our leaders have perfect information, our system would be as impotent as the ball-less UN.

This may be radical, but this presentation sums up my feelins on the subject. My opinion agrees with the creator of it.

"We know what a disarmed country looks like, and Iraq doesnt look like that"
---GWB
From skywalker's link

I could get the audio but not video to work on that link, skywalker. I assume it was a video collage of Bush WMDism based on the audio. Of course this but one piece of the puzzle. Another is considering Cheney's many statements of certainty that WMD's are in Iraq. Then You have Powell, who said a year before the war that Iraq had no WMDs. And they say General Wes Clark has flip-flopped...geez. Just with those you have a triad of wrong wrong wrong.

Were they found wrong by means of deciet and still in power, Oh yeah impeach. Clinton got it for lying about something far less serious and he didn't cause thousands of deaths and tens of thousands injured in the process of his wrongness.

John, I've been walking around every day wondering why nobody's tried to impeach Bush. If they impeached Clinton about a stain on a blue dress (A rather ugly blue dress, I might add), isn't leading a nation to war a little more extreme? If, Goddess forbid, he is reelected, he sure as hell better be impeached.

Assuming he *did* lie to the American people, of course.

As I see it, neither Bush nor Blair directly lied to any greater extent, they just blew things out of proportions and made the World believe that Saddam was a greater threat than he actually was.
