Where can I find a ring of wizardry? I've heard that there is one in the Friendly Arm area but I can't find it. I'm only in chapter four so I can't get to Baldur's Gate and I'd rather not go into Cloakwood without a better thief for those annoying traps. On that note does anyone know where I can find a thief with a high find/disarm trap ability right now?
Thaks in advance. |

Theres 2 places, 1 is impossible cos its in this rock in the middle of no-wherew and i dont know what screen! the other is in BG on the same screen as the FF Head quarters. Its in a house which you cant see the door of, on the bottom of the screen, you go in and theres a mage there, im not sure if its on him or in one of his cupboards!

Yeah I had him for a time but I couldn't get through the traps in the next part to get his wyverns so he left me. I guess I'll stick with Imoen for now and try to get more experience.

Aye, using either the patch or installing TotSC will remove the ring near the Friendly Arms inn.
As for the thief, well, best way to get one up there is to build one up. Since you need one right now, have you tried using one of the potions? There are several that crank up thieving abilities and if I remember right, they last a decent amount of time. An alternative method is to use the detect traps spell. Clerics get those. Combine that with a summoning spell like animate dead (walk a summoned critter into the trap to trigger it, keep everyone else at a safe distance) and you should be able to get by most of them. |

I don't have a detect trap spell at the moment but I suppose I could try charming something.

GRRR. I don't have a patch or TotSC installed but the ring isn't there. I went over that entire piece of ground very carefully and I can safely say that it is gone!
