cleric/druid casting time question

My char is a ranger dual to cleric now, and it plays great. Great melee abbilities and good spell casting. However, is there anyway to improve the casting speed for a cleric/druid?
A ton of the spells are pratically useless if you wan't to try to win a particular fight on your one, which I usually try first. Summon insects, poison, flame strike, false dawn, etc are useless if you don't make sure someone else is taking the first punches so your spell is not interupted. Sanctuary doensn't help by the way, since these are offensive spells.

Any good ideas anyone for items which imprive spell casting or good spell combinations anyone?

You can go to Baldurdash and download the bonus merchants. The mercahnt Deidre, located in Adventurer's Mart, should sell a robe called Robe of Vecna, which improves your spellcasting.

EDIT: Oops, sorry, just remembered that it is only for Mages. Sorry.

Amulet of Power? That's the amulet that you get from Aran Linvail, right? AFAIK, it only makes you immune to Vamps and some other thing. Maybe the other thing is faster spellcasting, but I dont think so.

But I am confused now; what does "decrease spell casting speed" mean exactly? Is it positive or negative?

Negative, unfortunetly. The positive word is increase.
