I'd like to know your opinion on space tourism.. Not only the idea for future things, but also the rich people who have paid to go into space. Personally I think it's really outrageous, that people pay such an amount of money for something that's costs a lot of money, fuel, building etc. They could spend the money helping poor people in Africa or Asia!

I agree that the money might be better spent in more humanitarium endeavors, but also think the money poured into space tourism from the wealthy sector will enable related exploration to advance much quicker. And there is always the point that, while I am all for space exploration, I really don't want to pay yet *more* taxes to fund it!

quote: I agree with Garnet. The cost is really high. Did you know that USA goverment does not give much money to NASA any more? They have to find money to continue their space explorations.

Space tourism will help us? I hope you understand what I mean with space tourism; people (read: millionairs) go into space by paying NASA a lot of money. That's what I'm talking about.. I really don't see anything positive about that.. sorry!

Yes, It Is A Waste Of Money Really, But It Would Be An Experience. Personally, Even Though It Would Be A Personnal Acheivement, But I Would Prefer A Good Holiday By A Pool In Spain! The Extra Money Could Go To All Sorts Of Helpful Charities And Stuff Too!

I'm for space tourism. I view it as a way to finally get some money out of the filthy rich and will contribute significantly to space exploration.
