That was.......not fun...

Okey so yesterday I was shopping and met my old girlfriend... from some years ago. Anyway it had been awhile since we met and we have always been good friends so we started catching up. But, she had her son with her, 3 years old, very cute and guess what. Apparently his dad left them some months ago, and he decided that [b]I[b] was him, he reached his hands to me and wanted me to hold him and was always going "daddy!!". my and the girl could have been on display, naked, in the milkfreezer and we would not have been more uncomfortable than we were. She was very embarrased and I had no idea what to do. We both made excuses that we had to hurry and went our way.
Anyway, that was one of those "not fun" moments...

All of my ex-girlfriends refuse to speak with me because of the trauma I put them through. Constant dissapointment combined with lousy romantic overtures have made them bitter. Little tip from Uncle Hiram...don't make lip smacking noises every time her mother bends over. Bad!!

LOL! That's a bad thing?

I had one of those "not fun" moments when my ex-girl friend thought she was pregnant, and that I was the daddy..
I was really happy and started to set my mind on being a father even though I was so young (19), but then it turned out she wasn't even pregnant..
That was very hard to accept, and was very difficult to handle for both of us..

I have this situation, although it is usally down to my "eyes" wandering. But I always charm them round, it just takes a few months to get back on uh-hm, speaking terms.

@Jorath, can't say I've ever been in that kind of a situation, but it's the sort of thing one expects to find in the movies.

I've generally remained friends with my ex-girlfriends, though I can't say I've been in touch with any of 'em in quite a number of years.

If you like her, and you're not maried or currently in a relationship, you might consider hitting a lunch or taking in a concert together. Not necessarily to build anything, but just to show some a little sympathy and support. Single parents are usually under a lot of strain, and can use all the friendliness they can find. Just a thought.

Well one my ex-girlfriends actually saw me on the street, ran up to me, grabbed me by my butt (no joke) and starting kissing me like she was a drueling dog or something... Man was I embarassed... hehe...

Awwww! That's cute! I love kids in the three year old range. If I were you, I would have set the little bug on my knee an tickled his belly until he giggled. Then again, I love kids. My ex-wife had a son from her new marriage and his dad left. Whenever I came over to chat and pick up my son, he would jump in my lap and do the "my daddy" thing. They just don't understand and want a daddy around like all the other kids. At that age, any kindly male figure will do. They just want love and acceptance. I didn't mind. He was awful cute. That's why I HATE people who get divorced for stupid reasons when kids are involved. Almost as much as I dislike parents who cruelly don't see their kids regularly. When his dad finally did come back, he was quite jealous that his son liked me so much. You know what I say? GOOD! Nothing like a little reality check to kick someones a$$ into gear!

(Back in the 80's)
I was at the laundry mat with my son and his stepfather of three years.
My husband was pissed off at me for something stupid and I was thinking he was gettting over it while he waited for me to do the wash.
This older woman who was there when we walked in came over to me, pointed to my husband and my son and said "Your son looks just like his father!"
I smiled at the woman and graciously thanked her, my face as full of pride as I could make it so I would not have to embarass either one of us with the truth.
She passed my husband and my son on her way out and stopped to tell him "Your son looks just like you!"
He looked up at her scowling and said as mean as he could, (and he could look VERY mean) "That's NOT MY KID!"
The poor lady left the place both embarassed and frightened!
