I remember the mini-series from my youth. A few years ago when mentioning it, my wife said she'd never seen it so we rented it on VHS. When it came out on DVD, I knew it was a must have.
I want to the Roots: The Next Generation which dealt with the 1st part of the 20th century, but I haven't been able to find it on VHS or DVD. Anyone else think it's great?
