I think it's quite funny to go through the game as Evil. Then you can just run around and kill people without have to worry for your rep. It's also quite funny to choose the evil side of specific quests.
But as the Paladin of nature that I am, I personally enjoy beeing Good the most.

I think the game is geared toward good characters rather than bad (a minor flaw), so for the best gaming experience, I pick the side of the righteous and good.

I've never really gone on a killing spree in this game yet, and I'm wondering how fun it is.

I would very much like to turn as many characters as possible into stone

I've done both...bad might be more fun at times, but they're right...it's geared for "good" players... and is a ton more expensive...

Do not fret about the high cost of items when you are playing an evil party/character. That is what pickpocketing is for, and the amount of money you earn in the game is more than sufficient for buying items from the Adventurer's Mart.

I like playing both good and evil, but playing evil has given me more laughs.

I would have to agree that the game is geared toward making life easier for good or even neautral aligned characters. However, I also believe that being evil is underrated, and can be more fun, particularly if you have already played through the game and know what to expect.

Take it from SixofSpades, resident wreaker of much havok, and underworld idol extrordinaire:

I remember the first time I tried playing evil in BG. I went a little too far too quickly. I guess the reputation must have gone a little too low b/c EVERYONE was simply attacking me on sight. Makes the game a little difficult. But if you keep an eye on your rep, its a blast.
