Chani and Deiter have bought a 2 story building in the gate district of Athkatla.

Larry and Mistral have followed Past to the tavern, where they are greeted by the above party.

Kaz, Neb, and Sephi are in a cottage far from the city.

I wonder whats wrong...but the last thing they need me to do is press them on it... He goes back to trying to get all of the dust off his clothes.

Sudden tension began to rise in the room, and Larry needed to find something to change pace.

"So...how are the pups doing???"

He knew that was an obvious distraction, but he could think of nothing better.

~She shudders in the uncomfortable silence. Seems like this god-forsaken group can't live a day without some misfortune. An un-intentional grimace crosses her previously jovial face. She was thankful for Larry's break of the taciturn. She motions for everybody's attention.~ "Would anybody like to see the pups? Shadow's right out the back door." ~She chews her lower lip.~

She nods ~ "I've all the time in the world." ~ Her cheeks regain a little colour ~ "Please, let me be useful for once. I'll give it my best shot." ~

She casts an apologetic smile at Spree ~ "I... I'm sorry. I'd love to see your wolves... but perhaps, another time... I... I need some physical activity." ~ Her voice trembles and eyes plead at Spree's.

Deiter looked over at some of the boards covered with dust"Just watch out for the dust, I don't think you want to end up looking like me." He grinned as he looked at his dust covered self.

~She laughs, motioning for Larry to follow her out the back door. Lying there was Arctic Shadow, serene yet independent as ever. Surrounding her were her 7 freshly weaned puppies. 3 gray, 2 white, 1 black. Chani looked at the puppies contently, smiling in a rare peace.~
