Why is it the Cloak of Non-Detection no longer works against True Sight, the Red Dragon Scale now counts as Full Plate +3 even though is is not, (and even has different AC modifiers) and the Cloak of Mirroring is essentially now the Cloak of Deflection? it's so stupid. I almost want to uninstall ToB. Almost. does anyone have fixes for these? i could live without the CofMirror one, since it was kinda overpowered in the first place, but having not-so-good Dragon Scale and CoND are major blows to my strategy, since the CoND non-detection is supposed to be non-dispellable like all other items' protections, and the RDS is most decidedly NOT full-plate.
Patch me, please!

Can't give you a patch. Sorry. Someone said that these items were overpowered so they changed them in ToB. Was it good or bad? Well I just don't know. Maybe it was or maybe it wasn't. Still lot's of powerful items in the game so don't uninstall ToB.

This can be gotten around. Look up the item code and then try to find a file with that name in your override folder. If you find it, delete it. Im pretty sure its there, bit if its not then youll have to go to www.teambg.com and download tools to mess around inside the .bif files themselves. Id rather not go into how to do that if i dont have to...
*NB back up first, or youll get no sympathy from me if you break something*

For the cloak of mirroring you can remove the clck26.itm file from your override directory.
That will cause the cloak to both work and look like the way it did in SoA

lol, you mean that they fixed the bugs that they messed up on in to of those? Non-detection is NOT supposed to protect you from True Sight. Its a bug. Look it up in the manual and read the spell descriptions in-game. You can't use magic items with any of the dragon armours, so why would they let you run around with a Ring of Protection +3 on an AC -1 already? You don't wear the Dragon Armour only for AC goodness, I like the resistances better. Fire resistance is ridiculously overpowered in ToB due to amout of fire critters always running around (and yagasura etc)

true sight DOES work on the spell non-detection, but, although they may seem that way, items that transfer abilities are not the same spells. Ring of Gaxx regeneration cannot be dispelled, but the priest spell Regeneration can. the CoND specifically states that the user cannot be detected by magical means.
Also, the RDS and CoND don't have files in the override. i checked. i guess i'll have to mess around in .bif's, whatever those are.
