the name says all. i'm thinking about dual-classing sarevok into either a mage or a thief (maybe even both...)
what are everybodys thoughts? |

You can't dual him to both so I guess you must choose on that one!
I am against dualing him. He will get his new abilities late in the game. That's just my thoughts though.

He is much stronger as a singleclass, but its always possible to dual him anyway.

Do you really need Sarevok to be dual classed? Cause seriously, he's much better off being a single class fighter. Being dualled to something else will give him more skills like casting or thieving but it's his strength as a pure fighter that is really Sarevoks worth.
Keep him as a fighter ![]()

well, he is level 25 right now, and he kicks ass in combat, but i couldn't help but love the idea of a backstabbed deathbringer assault, or a crazed fighter using whirlwind attack and time stop together.
by the way, what abilities are you talking about, hellspant? |

The problem with a Deathbringer Backstab is that you can't control when Sarevok will use his Deathbringer. And the problem with a TimeStop->Greater Whirlwind is that by the time Sarevok gets his Fighter abilities, it'll be too late to Dual him to Mage and still get his Fighter half back while under the EXP cap. (Multiclassed F/Ms, on the other hand, can pull that move.)
I, personally, am in favor of Dualing. He can get damned high as a Thief of Mage if you do it right away, so it's just like having a pure Thief with a great THAC0 and hp, not to mention 5 stars in Carsomyr. Or, a pure Mage with excellent hp and Saving Throws, who can wear the Asylferund Elven Chain during his casting frenzy....or cast Stoneskin & Mirror Image, then put his Full Plate back on and start Deathbringing. But, if all you want is Greater Whirlwind and Hardiness, be my guest.
