If you have it, give us details, and your honest opinion.

I want to try it, but I cannot afford to waste money on crap. I am saving for Oblivion, and GOD KNOWS Oblivion is gonna be good, it was actually given 5/5 stars by God himself!

Come on, spill yer guts! (No beta testers please. Final product reviews only)

I have read that the final release is basically identical. The new things people were hoping for to change the nature of the game didn't happen. A few tweaks a few fixes but late beta was DDO as it is now.

I didn't try thr beta exactly so that I could get a good vision of the final product. I'd like to get it, the question is, do they have time card? I didn't investigate yet.

Yes, they do. I may still get it, for something to play even for the free month..I dunno. I mean, I could probably finish it in a month and I use the term finish because there didn't seem to be anything else to do when you max out.

Wish they would offer the game on a demo disk, then you get a free month. That way, no money is wasted. I have a weird feeling DDO is going to be a disaster.

The game mechanics are weird I've heard, and the way the game is played is dumb--many say.

And WTF is with Ebberon? lol. If they did Forgotten Realms, and changed the game play, it would have been so much better.

Anyone that gets it, spill.

Yes, it's odd. It's like one of them games that try to be something but don't make it there. I agree FR would have been a winner but honestly Turbine didn't put near enough content into Eberron to even do FR justice. And everything looks jungle...ish and bleak and repetetive.

It isn't a bad game to play but you'd be done with it in a month I'd say. It's like a few good NWN's mods strung together but without real stories. Certainly not worth paying for, trust me. I hate to use the term "fanboi" but I can find no other word to describe the people on the DDO boards. If anyone dares dislike the game they go nuts and start insulting, berating and basically knocking your opinion. I mean, we are all fans of D&D yet they insist on blindly defending a clearly lacking game simply because it carries the D&D logo. In my view carrying that logo makes it even more important to let the Dev's know they didn't get it right and that this is not what we see as D&D.

What I want is the system of D&D with the scope and breadth of WoW. I want the endless lands to explore, areas done with the same individuality that Blizzard did the warcraft lands. but set within the Realms. I know some people don't like them but I feel if anyone could bring D&D to life in terms of 'feel' it would be Blizzard, just based on what they have done with their own world. The system of course would take more time but I mean they'd have help from WotC. Ahh to dream .

Yeah, I see that all the time on forums hosted by the developer. If you don't like it, you're torn up, and flamed. How mature. The truth is that they are arrogant, as well as ignorant. Ignorant of a poor game, and will waste their money on it. The joke's on them.

Man, it would ROCK to walk the trade routes from Luskan all the way to Silverymoon.. And go to Mithral Hall! Dreaming indeed! They have a goldmine in a FR MMO, but suits are too stupid to see it.

or perhaps too expensive to get the copyright license to put it in the game.. perhaps? I hear its really different game considering you and your group are actually zoned into your own personal lair where no one will spoil your camps and such..

ive read the review. You can only get up to lvl 10 which is pretty low but realistic. It would be a pure dungeon crawl as well.

I cant say much for spellcasters since being lvl 1-10 isnt pretty good for them as they rock at later levels (based from BG exerience ).

Oh I know the jokes on them and I laugh about it sometimes. That is before I suddenly get frustrated again as I think about them throwing their money at a bad game, in turn reassuring the dev's that they did a great job and giving them no motivation to try harder or rethink anything. Oh well. I feel like this happend with CoH too, this is why I left the game.

I totally agree about FR being a goldmine and I can't believe no-one has done it yet! Instead we get this crappy Eberron which most of us aren't familiar with and less of us even like. The time is right, everything has been tried and tested in the MMO-world, they know what works and what doesn't if they'd just get a develepor that will pay attention to the competition and take a leaf (heck, leaves) from the successful ones books. And if done right, if they really *tried* on this one then my god, the D&D fanbase would flock to this game in force, so much it would rival WoW.

Forgotten Realms Online (tm) Yes, to dream.

Perhaps Ironworks should band together and form FR Online? We could make a killing
