Right.. so I've got Dungeon Siege II a week ago, but haven't had time to play it a great so far. So when I started the game for the second time this weekend, all the voices were gone (no issues there the first time). Now, I believe I've checked everything. Voices are toggled on, voice volume is at normal hight, and every other kind of music or sound works like a charm. Any thoughts?

It sounds like something got corrupted in the install process. These may be dumb questions but do you have enough HD space? Did you intall the latest patch? You do have sound otherwise on your computer? Try a reinstall and see if that helps.

Thanks for the advice. I'm pretty sure my soundfiles weren't corrupted during install. After all.. it worked fine at first. Downloading the patch is typically the first thing I do after installing a new game, so that definately isn't the problem. Diskspace and drivers aren't the cause either. Anyway.. I guess i'll reinstall after I've finished Fable, which I was loath to do, since Dungeon Siege II has the longest install time since years.

the ds2 patch is a multi-player patch and gamers who don't play mp have reported all kinds of glitches with it. maybe when you reinstall it the next time, leave the patch off.

Ha.. that might be a good idea. Btw. I think only 2.1 is a multiplayer patch. 2.2 is actually supposed to fix all kinds of issues.
