Diablo 2 major error

Hi,
I keep getting this error when I play Diablo 2. The PC goes to a blue screen with the below error and the only way to get out of it is to restart. Then go into the game and can play some more until it comes up again (doesn't seem connected to where I am in the game). I have searched the internet and couldn't find anything on it.

Anyone here have any ideas? (I'm going to send it to Blizzard as well).

I have the LOD Expansion on it, fully patched. Running Windows 2000, I have NVidea GEForce4 Ti 4200 video card.

The error:

I tried unstalling the game, restarting the PC, and reinstalling the game, no change.

I have no other problems with my computer, no spyware, no viruses.

Update --
I upgraded windows, updated the chipset on my motherboard, made sure I had the latest drivers for my video and sound cards (all recommended by Blizzard's Help Desk).

Uninstalled and reinstalled the game.

Still happens -- only in Single player mode, and always after I've been playing for a little while (more than 30 minutes).

I'm going to try playing it windowed instead of full screen, see if that makes a diff.

I wouldn't care if it wasn't for the fact I have to reboot everytime it happens.
