what do you have to do (main plot wise) after the nashnell (sp) mines. i've explored most of the map and i don't know what to do. i think i've got too deal with the bandits but where are they?

Go and see the Mayor of the town, and he will give you your reward.

I think then he possible gives you the next part of the plot,but I could be wrong.

I really cant remember what you do next,, I think it is the Bandit Camp part.

Or am I wrong?

i've spoken to him. elminster has told me the bandits are aroung the north-east. but i can't find there camp.

There are two or three ways to get it on your map, but the easiest way is to go to the upper floor of Feldepost's Inn in Beregost and confront Tranzig. Make sure you save before you do, because if you kill him too quickly, he doesn't get the chance to surrender & give you the info you need. There were some scrolls at Mulahey's hideout that should have told you this. Try reading them, if you haven't already done so, because I don't think that Tranzig spawns until you do.

You'll have the option of going undercover and infiltrating the bandits, or, if you're feeling hard enough just kicking the living bejesus out of them. I think you get approached in Pelvdale or Larswood with the option to join. If you do want to the stealth option *don't* kill the dude who tries to recruit you.

Personally, I'm just playing through BG1 in a mad attempt to do the lot before ToB comes out (and have a kicking evil thief/mage at the end of it) and having Kivan in the party just rolled over the bandit camp... "vengance is mine sayeth the lord"

I remember now. Tranzig is the way to go.

And I think you should kill the bandits.More experiance.

You have to kill them in the end: you get to kill a few more if you do a Rambo.

If its the first time you're doing it I'd say infiltrate for the role-play. Otherwise just waste those suckers!
