Has anyone else seen the trailer on this RPG? It runs like a movie is part action and RPG. It either came out for the Xbox or is about to, PC version says November release but I wonder. It sure looks great I can't wait to play it.

Thanks for that link. I didn't know a previous topic had been started. After reading through those posts it looks like I may pass on this game. I think fighting monsters in a RPG is great, But to have an action slash RPG isn't so great. I also didn't know Stormfront made the game. POR2 was about the worst example of a finished game I ever heard of. There were reports when the game first game out that it would delete the contents of your hard drive. True or not I don't know.
I guess I will never understand the rationale of shipping a game without really testing it first. If recouping the investment is the goal you would think the investment group would want the most return on the product they could get. All they got for this game was zero. The bad press kept most gamers away from this game. Stormfront carries with it a bad rep for what they did in POR. Gamers lose, Stormfront loses, investors lose/ What is the sense in it all? Quote:

I played the ps2 version and really enjoyed it, played all the way through, for what it is worth. If you get the xbox or pc version i'd be interested to see how it compares.
btw, what is por?

Well, I've just started it, and it's definitely enjoyable. I personally don't like the switch character thing, and would prefer the mode in Two Towers/Return of the King where you choose one to play through the level...but I could get used to it.

Yeah, the switching characters thing takes a little time to get used to, but it brings in some strategy to the game when you get a little deeper in. Kind of lost vikingsish, if you remember that game. How far have you gotten slicer?

Just completed the Second Chapter. I'm about to start the third. I have to admit, the introduction of sneak attacks is pretty cool.

Oh man, you're just getting your feet wet then. Once you've been treated to getting to play with drizzt you'll start really appreciating the game.
The rogue def has the coolest attacks too, hopping up on the shoulders and taking the guy out. And just between you and me, she's hot!!!! (seriously, dont' tell anyone i said that)
