My character is around level 15, but I haven't uncovered much of my map. Mostly just the Western portion, including a little bit of Solstien. Anyway, I'm going to take a break from the quests and roam around and wanted to know what places people that were the best in the game. Not neccessarily quest wise, although if it is that's fine, but just the coolest areas to check out.

My map is pretty much just lines connecting the towns. But if you just wander off, you'll probably find just as much stuff, if not more, than if you were looking for someplace specific in the wild.

You can wander everywhere and find alot of Mines caves and ruins to explore with tons of treasure in them but if your below level 20 your going to die alot. Make sure you save alot, or you'll waste alot of time.

TheCrimsonBlade, i was level seven, and i wandered around with a dwemer longsword raiding EVERYTHING, and i only died once. just against a mage, whom i faught back by hiding behind a pillar and coming out when he pulled out his paper axe.

just a tip, save before you go inside anywere.

i suggest ansestral tombs. i had some "good" weaponry, and i found an ebony helmot from one! and they arent hard to loot, if you have a magic weapon, of course. you Do have one, corect? good. now, go out there, free slaves, talk to everyone, and go into any place you find!

BTW, eggmines are a great place to get money by poaching eggs, and killing off your rivals eggmine's queen!

Have fun!

Then either your difficulty setting is very low or you didn't really go EVERYwhere, because if you go into a Dwemer or Daedric ruin at level seven on a reasonable difficulty setting, you will die.

While I don't know about Daedric ruins, it is pretty easy to survive a Dwemer ruin at level 7, even with the difficulty pumped all the way up to 100. I don't even think Daedric ruins would be that hard for some characters, as the tougher monsters don't generally spawn at low levels, so the toughest thing you would generally have to deal with would be Dremora and Frost Anronachs. Frost Anronachs are no problem with high resistance or spella absorbtion, and the Dremora won't get fancy weapons when you're only level 7 which tends to make them pretty weak.

I've been raiding all the ruins I can find and not had much difficulty as of yet. The toughest fight to date was with a mage in a set of ruins that ended up giving me a full suit of ebony armor. That was around level 10 - since then everything has been almost too easy. I guess I was looking for any particularly large ruins or areas that people thought had the best fights or quests related to them. Where do I find the creatures with the souls that allow you to get constant effect enchantments?

You can find Golden Saints in or around the Daedric Ruins. Ascended Sleepers are found in Sixth House bases, and as random wandering monsters inside the Ghostfence.
