To all those who played or know about the game Thief 2 - The metal age...hear me out and plz help~
Something strange happened...when I tried to play, the whole computer just shuts down and restart... I am on WinXP...does that give any incompatibility with the game?? Do I need patch or is my file corrupted? T_T plz help...I love this game so much!

I've had a lot of issues with XP and games prior to getting all the updates, but never a full shut down and restart. That strikes me as rather odd myself. Still waiting on Theif 3 though.
P.S. I hope you find your answer, but this kinda really should be in the miscelanious games forum.

O sorry, I never knew there was a miscellaneous game section~ [img]tongue.gif[/img] I quitted this forum for some time now...
Thnx for the advice, and I hope my service pack does its job (I got it ages ago) I asked this question for my friend actually...hehehe  If others have better answers plz post~

Ok, got another problem~!!
My motion.crf file is corrupt, anyone plz tell me where I can download thief 2 files off? Damn...I WANNA PLAY #%&%%$&*^.....

i don't have an answer for you but i do suggest being careful witht he bames you put on xp. diablo2 once crashed my xp machine and when it restarted it could not find the hard drive. we just had to restart it again, but...it is scary. i'm not sure if xp makes for a good gaming comp.

The same thing happened to me but it never restarted but it crashed every 10 seconds. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it problem solved. But before you do that look into the Read Me Troubleshooting section. It helped me.

Metla age has always ran great on my XP. Perhaps It's a video error or just comes down to that corrupt file you mentioned. As Ziroc said, look in your CD for it.
