I don't suppose there is any way to get the law off yer back while in Athkatla is there?? By law i mean the 2 Cowleds and about 6 Amnish Legionaires that spawn randomly when my lawful evil assasin walks through a town (god i hate that....). They are starting to get quite annoying and i doubt there is a way other than boosting my rep somehow (gonna be hard to do, im really low) but if anyone knows either how to make them stop or tips for avoiding them plz post...

i usually just make them disappear for a short time with my special snares then i plant about 6 normal snare traps around where they spawn and soon as they respawn from where ever they were my traps take out at least 5 of em (if im lucky). but this is time conduming and not very convenient(sp?) because i always need to rest to regain all my snares. tips plz ... thx

btw, im only traveling in a 2 person party with me(assasin) and Vicconia

Legionaries are just clowns!
If you have bad reputation donīt expect to walk around without any "law force" behind you.
Thatīs the spirit of the game, find your way through the problems.

You have probably a rep. of 1. Try donating to temples. you need 1000 or more per donation

Is it true that if i get too high of a rep that my romance with Vicconia will cease to exist? If it is then whats the max limit i cant get before that happens?

and is donating to a church the only way i can boost it? i think i ran out of "good deeds" that i can do cause i always did the "Evil" thing and stayed in role with my character. But i guess even evil people can do some good here and there if need be.

if you raise your rep. too high viconia will leav. i think about past 10 or 12 she will start to complain. best to try and advoid the law. i found that attackin them doesnt work as they just keep on respawnin.

Viconia will leave if your rep reaches 18 (I believe). There's a patch that will prevent party members from leaving you because of rep reasons, at http://members.rogers.com/mrkevvy/

As for getting mugged by the Law when you have a rep of 1: I love it! That's just as it should be! I would expect the shops to close, the guards to come after me, wanted posters all over the place. What I don't see, and what I wish was in place, was an underground of malcontents who would contact you and provide services, including items and quests. That's the way things function (in a sense) in reality, and the way they function, as well, in Arcanum.

Yes fable, that would be cool, but then they would have to make the good char's be able to go down into their hideouts and kill each and every one of them so they dont try to cause more problems for the city..and this would probably add about another 500 scripting events to the already 1084u5409870987095 that they have in place. just for about 15 mins more worth of game time and enjoyment (i know it would be cool, but they would have to balance it out so that the good guy can get the same exp as the bad guy)

Ares, I'm not suggesting that BG2 is any the worse for lacking a series of evil quests; just pointing out that evil really has some drawbacks in BG2, and few benefits. Arcanum offers more of a balance, but at the cost of offering less detailed quests.
