I'll probably finish my current game (Planescape: Torment) this weekend. I already have Morrowind, but am reluctant to play it. So, which is better?

I found Morrowind technically polished but strangely soulless. And, to be honest, not *fun*

I couldn't get into the world, it was a bit too deep and frankly all that fancy calligraphy text made my eyes bleed. And, for all its pretensions, the combat in *Diablo* was more fun.

I'm playing Divine Divinity at the moment. There is a link to my review of it (on another forum) in my post "Hello, and a plug for Divine Divinity" on *this* forum.

In some ways MW and DD do share a few things; they are both *massive*, free-form and fairly non-linear RPG's. I prefer DD's 2D isometric as opposed to MW's first person perspective, too.

Cheers
MC

I can't tell you about DD, cause i haven't played that myself, but if you already have Morrowind and still didn't start playing it..... you're sure missing out on something.

Morrowind is sitting on my shelf while I play Divine Divinity. I don't miss Morrowind one bit. DD is (IMHO) the best CRPG since Ultima VII.

I have played Morrowind and it is quite fun because the game world is big and there are tons of things to do but my only complains about this game is that I have to spend quite a lot of time just to get from Point A to Point B and then back again to Point B. Even with the Recall, Almsive and divine intervention spell, the whole process is still a pain in the ass. Levitating doesn't really helps much either because I occasionally miss the spot where I am supposed to "land". Other than that, it is one of the best CRPG around this year.

From what I read from Gamespot review of DD, it is sort of like action CRPG (Diablo anyone?), however DD has been souped up with a lot of role play elements like conversations with NPC and side quests. To be honest, I am rather curious about this game and I might want to get a copy after I have finished playing IWD II.

Don't you have the wizards staff yet ? Than landing won't be a problem anymore.

What does it do? I don't have problem in landing but I occasionally miss my destination while flying around.

Morrowind is great. I'm playing as a crusader, and its the best game. So far, I've done all the quests with general Darius, so i went to Fort Moonmoth. I also am a high rank in the Fighters guild. But i restarted because that was my first game ever, and after installing all the patches, my game easily craps out. But can you believe that Morrowind takes up less space then Wiz8? My bro told me that one.
