It's at all the large file places.. (Filefront, Fileplanet and gamespot) it's a bit large for a demo (1.6Gig) lol.. but I played it. FREAKING AWESOME!
I loved kicking orc's off into the cavern pits.. lol!! Go snag it if ya want! Let us know what you think. |

I'm uber-excited about this game too Ziroc!
Although its not Arx 2 as I was more so hoping for - and it really shouldn't have the 'might and magic' name tag on it (bit superfluous and not that relevant to the series) I still think it'll be fairly revolutionary in its combat driven FPS/RPG fusion. How's the gameworld interactivity so far compared to Arx, Ziroc? I don't have the system that can run it (or Oblivion for that matter) so I'll have to jealously sit back and watch the comments come in. ![]() I guess if its a smashing success, Arx 2 isn't quite out of the question yet....Ahh, I live in hope. I gave it a try, and found it monotonous, lineair and cumbersome in combat. It just doesn't feel smooth.
Too bad. ![]()

Downloading... I'll have to try it in the next couple of days.
*edit* Looks like it's going to take 4 hours Perhaps I'll try from someone other than Gamespot... *edit 2* Fileplanet launched some massive popup hell that caused PopupKiller to go whacky... not for me, thanks Filefront is zipping right along... looks like it will take an hour, but it's holding around 400kbps. And falling, though... ![]() [ 08-15-2006, 12:54 AM: Message edited by: Bungleau ]

There's a torrent of it available across the various torrent sites.
And since this is a free demo, the torrent is completely legal.

So much for that thought.... it won't install on my D: drive. Thinks there isn't enough space... yet there's ten times what it needs. It also thinks that it will require zero bytes on D:, as opposed to around 3GB on C:
And I *don't* have enough space on C:. I keep it small on purpose. Glad I didn't sit around waiting for it to download, or I'd be

![]() Come on people, a little bit of detail here would be nice! Have some sympathy for your fellow suffering NON-downloading gamer ![]() In the meantime, I visited the temporary TTLG forums for more information and consoled myself with some more screenshots and snippet reports. http://www.awesomeexpress.com/forums...hread.php?t=64

Downloaded it from Fragbite, a Swedish gaming site and tried the demo out.
Looks pretty interesting and still a bit rough around the edges and ALOT of MB's for quite little play but ayway here are some thoughts: The game starts with a training session and the engine is Halflife 2/Counterstrike i.e running and walking feels like it is troiublesome for your poor hero. The graphics are quite nice and the settings will allow you to tweak and decrease effetcts to suit your computer pretty well. The game lets you optimize your character in singleplayer and you can choose from fgihting progression; melee skills and bow skills/ arcane skills; magic spells, healing enhancements etc and finally misc skills like moving quicker, higher stamina etc. Once through the press ctrl to jump, don't jump into fires and don't eat broken glass tutorials first stage (sarcasm)you get to wield a sword and chop suey some undeads and later som mercenaries. Fun and easy to control but as always with 1st person views and action, I prefer to be able to switch to 3rd person for close enconters and 1st for ranged combat. The combat isn't exactly smooth but once you earn some skill points it gets better. After the tutorial you try your luck with the first part of the game, a sort of mining mountainside thingie.. A goblin kicked into oblivion (thats the favorite part, you can kick as in return to castle wolfenstein so when enemies become bothersome move them into position and kick them over an edge and no more problems ![]() After a hectic fighting bar brawl with some more orcs in a room I find out the the game lets you solve many fights with different tactics. In this room for instance, there were several barrels and roopes holding heavy weighed kick ass trap like things (really art-noveau I would say ![]() I must say that I had hoped for more considering the fun I had with the Prey demo. A well, I will definately keep a sharp eye out for this game. I haven't had this much fun since I finally got a hang on the controls for Severance (which was just a mess with the controls and made the game neigh unplayable). Miniguns, rockets and silenced guns are just toys when you can get down and dirty with a rusty cleaver and Dark Messiah seems to have plenty more of that in store. Also, only the multiplayer aspects sounds worh to get this game for!
