What's with the Crystal Shard?

The chunk of crystal that you find in the prison, after you defeat the kobolds? Is this just one of those things to carry around for a keepsake or is it a piece of some puzzle?

Oh, wait. Maybe it's just a piece of ordinary crystal that would make a neat-looking wand, if I were to alter it. You need it only to free yourself from the Maze. After that, mount it on the wall of your house as art.

Yeah. You need the chard to open up the mouth of the big head thats blocking the door out of the maze. I think thats all its good for. Try selling to see how much its worth.

Yeah for a little while I thought It was Creshinibon 2 Azred.... but it is only a crystal that powers the door to the Next level of the Maze

..... you also need the Hand of the Vampire (Steak him once youve killed him 4 it)
