First of all, thank you all for your tips! I've been trying to find out most things on my own, but some of the tips I've read I would have never figured out.

I'm having difficulty with the Pvt. Glumph rescue mission. I rescued him without a hitch, but now he won't leave my group. I went back to Gen. Yamir and he doesn't recognize that I have him and tells me to get back to my mission. Likewise, Glumph bitches about needing to go back to Yamir. I've tried the suggestion of knocking him unconscious, as well as killing him then returning him, with no luck. Wierd thing is, I tried to talk to Rubble again, and he gave me the mission all over again! I now have two level 6 cards, two entries in my log to rescue Glumph, and one "completed" entry which tells me to return Glumph to Yamir. I'm debating just dropping Glumph's "remains," which seems to be the only way left to get rid of him.

Tip: Weighed down by those heavy spike stones and other weighty items? Load up an RPC (like Glumph) with as much as you can, then kill him. He won't take any of your battle experience, and you can take what you want from him whenever you want, even in battle mode. Just remember that you can only TAKE from the dead RPC, you can't equip him without reviving him first.

welcome to IW, mykil! great tip on the dead character - i think someone else mentioned that, you do end up facing lower level enemies as the auto-leveller counts your party as having one member of level 0. (for better or worse)

it sounds to me like your yamir problem is a corruption, somehow. have you completed all the other umpani quests? i've never heard of this before.

i guess you could always drop glumph in the general's quarters and move on without him, but missing the experience is a bummer and not completing the quest could impact ...later quests...

Hey, thanks for the welcome and quick reply.

Sorry if there was duplication on my tip being posted earlier - I'm trying to avoid reading EVERYTHING and just trying to figure out my way.

In regard to the Umpani missions: yes, I have successfully completed the previous missions in order, and have also used Saxx and Sparkle briefly as RPCs. I did, however, piss off the T'Rang early on in the game. I was not able to complete the mook alliance mission as I went into the restricted transporter room and killed all the guards, which upset the T'Rang a little

To add insult to injury, I also messed with the computer and blew up the T'Rang ship (they didn't look like nice guys anyway).

As for experience, I'm leveling up pretty nicely now and don't really need the experience from Glumph (would be nice though), and am currently messing around Rapax Castle - much to the dismay of Vi. I'm trying to buy as many spellbooks as I can and Ferro is the last guy I need to buy from.

Uh-oh. Blowing up the T'rang ship is the last quest from the Umpani. By doing that ahead of time, you may have screwed the Glumph quest. I suspect it's too late now to fix that up. You may just want to forget about rescuing Glumph, or dump his body somewhere, if you can.

yeah, that sounds like the culprit to me. by accidentally getting that last quest out of order, you must have triggered something that indicates the quest with glumph was already completed.

oh well, you dont need the experience, and you wont be able to do the "alternate quest" after your hostilities with the trang. so i'm with nightowl - dump the body and get on with it.

Welcome mykil_4!

As for having a Governator made in Austria, I suggest to get used to Schnitzel and Apfelstrudel quickly ;D !
